Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is hard. In this heart-pounding follow-up to Tangled by New York Times bestseller Emma Chase, Kate reveals that there is trouble in paradise, when unexpected circumstances force her and Drew to "renegotiate" their relationship.

There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself—and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice; the most important of my life. Drew already made his—in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville, Ohio, alone. Well, sort of alone...

What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard, and sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead.

“Would you fucking stop! Why are you being like this?”

I glare up at him. “Because you don’t even care! I’m really upset here - and you don’t give a shit!”

His eyes open wide, incredulous.

“Of course I give a shit - I’m the one getting Jimmy Choos thrown at my head like Chinese freaking stars!”

“If you care so much, why don’t you apologize?!”

“Because I didn’t fucking do anything! I have no problem crawling on my hands and knees when I screw up. But if you think I’m gonna beg because you’ve been possessed by the Hormone Demon - you’re out of your mind sweetheart.”

Kate and Drew, one of my favourite book couples from 2013 are finally back. In Twisted, Kate’s perspective is on the menu.

When we last saw Kate and Drew, the happy couple was, well happy, together, and headed towards wedded bliss, and their very own HEA. Well that is short lived. I enjoyed Twisted, I enjoy Emma Chase’s writing, but what I truly missed, the humor this time around. I missed the undeniable magic that is Drew. His humor and his witty comebacks, and charm were still there, just in much smaller doses. I mean Drew Evans truly is still magically delicious and I enjoyed the story, I adore these characters, and the undeniable chemistry is still there. I truly missed Drew’s voice in this one though… I feel like a whiny child having a tantrum, but I wanted MORE DREW DAMMIT!! Kate gives her own smart and funny commentary, she's still sassy and fun. Delores is back, and I love her still. Every girl needs a BFF like Delores. I found myself shaking my fist and cursing my Kindle, so this must mean, Emma Chase gave us a good book!

There are happy times, funny times, sexy times *waggles eyebrows*, angst, heartbreak, drama, you know, all the good stuff! If you love Emma Chase, if you love Kate and Drew, you’ll adore this new installment to the series. I see this becoming a seriously popular addition to the series. If you loved Tangled, then this is a must read.

PS – Emma Chase, please, please, pretty, pretty please, more Drew Evans

Memorable Moment

“I love his mouth, his lips, his tongue. Kissing is an art form, and Drew Evans is Michelangelo.”

By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.

Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.

Book 1 - Tangled

Book 1.5 Holy Frigging Matrimony

Book 3 - Tamed - May 27 2014

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.

It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.

When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special--I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.

You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.

It’s how we got there.

TAMED
goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions – it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.

2003 was a wild year for Jasmine Ashcroft and Jonathan Fox. Betrayal. Tragedy. Breakups. Reunions. And way too many long-haul flights. Now Jasmine and Jonathan just want to get away from it all for a little while. What better place to celebrate their first Christmas together than an out-of-the-way cabana in the Riviera Maya? No electricity, no phones, no paparazzi. Just sea, sunshine, and--hopefully--lots of shagging.

But like the most tenacious of groupies, mayhem follows the Strange Angels frontman everywhere…even to paradise. If Kit and his Wild One want their newfound relationship to survive this vacation, they’re going to need a lot of trust, strength, and patience. And tequila. Mucho tequila.

Warning! This novella is for readers 18+ only due to drug references, mature language, and lots of steamy Rock star sex.

A Million Miles Away

Give in to the Night

The Angel Interceptor series was conceived as the sun was setting on Hair Metal, born during the early days of fictionpress, and came of age in 2013 when the author finally worked up the nerve to try self-publishing. All of Elizabeth's works are dedicated to the men who play Metal and the women who love them, even though they should know better.

TITLE: THE FACE IN THE MIRROR
AUTHOR: BARBARA STEWART
RELEASE DATE: APRIL 16, 2014

Loss brings things home. You reflect on what you had, and what you’ve lost.
What if you met the love of your life... Again?
What if he never fell out of love with you?
And you realized that you were still in love with him.
Could you push the past aside…
And focus on the future?
Relive what was good…
And learn from the bad?
What if you found a secret…
That revealed that everything about your family was a lie…
Changed your thoughts on love and commitment…
And turned all that you believe in upside down...
What if a mirror reflected what you loved…
And what you lost?

That night as I was getting ready for bed, the song played through in my head and I felt my own body swaying to the music. I was washing my face and brushing my teeth, and when I looked in the mirror, I saw Mitchell coming into the bathroom. I smiled and danced a little more.

“Puttin’ on a show for me?” he asked, placing his hands on my hips, lifting my hair, kissing my neck, and then my shoulder.

“Heard this song today that the girls were listening to and I can’t get it out of my head,” I replied, watching him in the mirror.

“What song has you moving like that, Renie? I need to hear it and see the rest of your moves,” he said, as he flashed a sexy smile in the mirror. I reached to grab my phone off the counter. As I turned, I leaned back, placing my bottom on the edge of the counter and started the song.

‘Cuz with your hand in my hand and a pocket full of soul

I can tell you there’s no place we couldn't go

Just put your hand on the glass

I'll be tryin’ to pull you through

You just gotta be strong…

Mitchell took my hands and pulled me to him and began to do some swayin’ of his own – and I liked it!

“Why haven’t we danced like this before, Renie?” he asked, nuzzling my neck, leaving hot breath behind as his hands softly caressed my back. “It’s a huge turn-on,” he whispered.

“Huge,” I repeated, barely able to breathe.

It’s like you’re my mirror

My mirror staring back at me…

“Thank you for being the other half of my reflection,” I whispered as he lifted me into his arms.

He carried me to the bed and started the song once more, kissing me, touching me in ways that had my body aching for more, and he gave me what I wanted.

Later, lying in Mitchell’s arms, he told me, “I saw her in the mirror… and I’m gonna pray that I see her again…”

Excited, I sat up. “You did? You saw my mom?”

“No. I saw the woman of my dreams, the woman I’ve loved since I was a young man. I saw you Renie.”

She’s a singularly focused veterinarian out for a rare night of fun with friends, at a New Year’s Eve rock concert. Going home with the lead guitarist was furthest thing from Rihanna Mason’s mind when the night began.

But what happens when she becomes more to him than just the assignment?

Will the secret he cannot disclose ultimately prove too much for Rihanna’s fragile trust in relationships? Or will he finally break through the double brick walls around her heart, where every other man has failed?

Finding Judgement

Rory Southall’s dreams have been haunted by the beautiful blonde pixie he’d helped three months ago.  Imagine his surprise when his next assignment is to investigate none other than the very same woman.

TJ Walsh is holding on to her family’s trucking company by a thread.  For the last two and a half years, she’s been trying to keep the debt-ridden business afloat and her family fed.  She’s driven and desperate to make ends meet. But she remembers every detail of a chance meeting three months ago with a handsome stranger.

What happens when a simple supply chain investigation morphs into a deadly web of lies and deceit and TJ finds herself squarely in the middle of it? It seems that very same handsome stranger has rescued her again, but how could that be?   And how exactly does the illegal genetically modified products he’s investigating have anything to do with her?

How will she cope with knowing the danger is much closer to home than she thought? When everyone seems to be gunning for them, can she find love and salvation with Rory before it’s too late?

I recently discovered those school vocational assessments are really interesting and probably correct! Who would have thought, hey? You see, I clearly remember taking one of those in Year 11 (for my US friends, I think that equates to junior year in high school). Anyway, semantics. Well, the results came back indicating that I should pursue a career in writing and something else. What that something else was I can’t remember but the writing thing stuck in my mind.

Sure, I’d always liked English and had already developed a ravenous appetite for romance novels by the age of sixteen—but who becomes a writer straight out of school? So to cut a long story short, I went to Uni and studied Business and ended up managing large-scale IT projects shortly after.
I can’t complain: it’s been a great career. I’ve done some awesome projects and met some incredible people and I won’t be giving it up anytime soon. Anyway, I’ve messed around with a couple of “secret” novels over the years and I finally decided to get serious and finish one. Hence “Finding Trust” came about. And about twenty years later, I’ve finally proved a vocational assessment correct, because I love writing!

As to some other stuff about me: I live on the Gold Coast, Australia. I love spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not sitting behind a screen playing with IT or writing, you might find me down the beach playing in the waves on a Jet Ski or a bogey board (both are uber cool). When the weather turns a bit cooler (doesn’t really happen on the Gold Coast), we like to head for the snow. I’ve discovered I have two kids who are kamikaze skiers—they must take after their father. He’s always at me to “release the handbrake.” Apparently I’d ski so much better. I call it a healthy understanding of self-preservation and gravity!
I like to think I can fit in a few workouts and martial arts classes each week. This tends to be a figment of my imagination more than reality, unfortunately. I am trying to remedy this, but those damn characters just keep demanding to have their stories told and, well, there’s always another good book to read!

I hope you enjoy mine.

Please drop me a line. You can find me at my website, www.nataliegayle.com.   I’m active on Facebook, Twitter, and via email Natalie@nataliegayle.com.au. I’d love to know what you think of my books and well, let’s be truthful—I love talking about books, whether they’re mine or someone else’s. Fiction is just so much more fun than reality!!!

Happy Reading
