Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is hard. In this heart-pounding follow-up to Tangled by New York Times bestseller Emma Chase, Kate reveals that there is trouble in paradise, when unexpected circumstances force her and Drew to "renegotiate" their relationship.

There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself—and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice; the most important of my life. Drew already made his—in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville, Ohio, alone. Well, sort of alone...

What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard, and sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead.

“Would you fucking stop! Why are you being like this?”

I glare up at him. “Because you don’t even care! I’m really upset here - and you don’t give a shit!”

His eyes open wide, incredulous.

“Of course I give a shit - I’m the one getting Jimmy Choos thrown at my head like Chinese freaking stars!”

“If you care so much, why don’t you apologize?!”

“Because I didn’t fucking do anything! I have no problem crawling on my hands and knees when I screw up. But if you think I’m gonna beg because you’ve been possessed by the Hormone Demon - you’re out of your mind sweetheart.”

Kate and Drew, one of my favourite book couples from 2013 are finally back. In Twisted, Kate’s perspective is on the menu.

When we last saw Kate and Drew, the happy couple was, well happy, together, and headed towards wedded bliss, and their very own HEA. Well that is short lived. I enjoyed Twisted, I enjoy Emma Chase’s writing, but what I truly missed, the humor this time around. I missed the undeniable magic that is Drew. His humor and his witty comebacks, and charm were still there, just in much smaller doses. I mean Drew Evans truly is still magically delicious and I enjoyed the story, I adore these characters, and the undeniable chemistry is still there. I truly missed Drew’s voice in this one though… I feel like a whiny child having a tantrum, but I wanted MORE DREW DAMMIT!! Kate gives her own smart and funny commentary, she's still sassy and fun. Delores is back, and I love her still. Every girl needs a BFF like Delores. I found myself shaking my fist and cursing my Kindle, so this must mean, Emma Chase gave us a good book!

There are happy times, funny times, sexy times *waggles eyebrows*, angst, heartbreak, drama, you know, all the good stuff! If you love Emma Chase, if you love Kate and Drew, you’ll adore this new installment to the series. I see this becoming a seriously popular addition to the series. If you loved Tangled, then this is a must read.

PS – Emma Chase, please, please, pretty, pretty please, more Drew Evans

Memorable Moment

“I love his mouth, his lips, his tongue. Kissing is an art form, and Drew Evans is Michelangelo.”

By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.

Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.

Book 1 - Tangled

Book 1.5 Holy Frigging Matrimony

Book 3 - Tamed - May 27 2014

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.

It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.

When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special--I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.

You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.

It’s how we got there.

TAMED
goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions – it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.
